There are three trains: The Gold Line, the Blue Line, and the Green Line.

The community of Sacramento has partnered with SacRT to provide alternate transportation services for residents and employers. The Yolobus provides service to the Sacramento International Airport, which is only 10 minutes from downtown.

This city is home to the Sacramento Kings of the NBA. In 1985 the Kings moved from Kansas City to Sacramento and have called the city home ever since. They are the only major league professional sports team in the area, but there are a number of minor leagues, college sports, and amateur sports in the community.  

High school Rugby is very popular in this area. Jesuit High School has won six national rugby championships. The Sacramento Valley High School Rugby Conference hosts a preseason youth and high school rugby tournament that is known as the most pretentious and competitive in America.  

Beach volleyball is also a popular sport within the region. The Sacramento Hornets are an NCAA Division I team for the California State University that partakes in the Big West and the Big Sky Conferences.

Shopping in the City 

The Ventana Gallery is located in Old Sacramento, in an exclusive area known as The Pavilion.  This gallery displays contemporary and traditional art pieces from world-renowned artists. And if you love vintage and anything restored, head to Antique Plaza located in Rancho Cordova. This busy place is packed-full of merchants with an array of antiques for you to bargain on. 

Old Sacramento is a 28-acre State Historic Park filled with shops, museums, entertainment, and places to dine at. The atmosphere turns back the clock of time to the 1850s as you walk through this commercial center. Take a horse-drawn buggy ride for a more authentic experience.  

For guests or residents staying longer than a few days, you can do your groceries at these popular supermarkets: Nugget Markets, Save Mart, and Raley's. Oto's Marketplace, a fantastic Japanese supermarket is another local favorite, as is the International Food Market.
