Weather and Climate

Tally tends to be wet, with about 59 inches of rain per year, more than the national average of 38 inches. It doesn’t snow in the city, and it enjoys 233 sunny days annually versus the U.S. average of 205 sunny days. Tallahassee isn’t as prone to hurricanes as other parts of Florida. But on Oct. 10-11, 2018, Hurricane Michael struck the Florida Panhandle, including Tallahassee, causing about $25 billion in economic losses.
