Local Culture 

This city has a long and diverse multicultural heritage. Throughout the year, the rich ethnic diversity of its residents is celebrated with attractions and special events. There are also live music performances by local, regional, and national recording artists during the Latino Music Festival. Norfolk has the largest marching exhibition in the United States – one that showcases marching bands, massed pipes and drums, drill teams, gymnasts, choirs, and more. This event is known as the Virginia International Tattoo and hosts over 700 artists from across the globe. Other well-known and heavily attended annual events that shape this city's culture are the NATO Festival and the Hampton Roads Pride Festival.
